Weeping Willow — Claude Monet Series | UV Reactive

Inspired by the richly textured paintings of Claude Monet, Weeping Willow is the third colorway in my Artist Series — a study in movement, contrast, and layered color.

Monet’s Weeping Willow paintings are dense with brushwork and emotional weight. Color is built up rather than smoothed away, creating surfaces that feel alive with tension, repetition, and depth. That philosophy guided the dye process for this colorway.

Deep, moody purples form the foundation of the skein, layered with greens, chartreuse, and shadowed neutrals. In natural light, the palette reads grounded and complex. Under black light, subtle UV-reactive elements emerge — revealing hidden movement and contrast woven quietly into the yarn.

This is not UV for spectacle. It is UV as an extension of Monet’s exploration of light — a reminder that color reveals different truths depending on how and when it is seen.
