Inspired by The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, this Banned Book colorway draws from a novel synonymous with excess, illusion, and the quiet emptiness beneath glamour. Set during the Jazz Age, the story explores class, longing, and the fragile promise of the American Dream through the eyes of Nick Carraway and the enigmatic Jay Gatsby.

Despite its literary status, the novel has been repeatedly challenged and banned for its language and themes. Its critique of wealth, power, and moral decay remains sharp and unsettling — a reminder that glittering surfaces often conceal uncomfortable truths.

This colorway reflects that tension. Layered, expressive, and richly complex, it is designed to knit into fabric that feels intentional and reflective, inviting the maker to slow down and sit with the story as it unfolds stitch by stitch.
