Soul of the Rose — Hand-Dyed Wool Roving
4 ounces of hand-dyed wool roving in Soul of the Rose, inspired by The Soul of the Rose by John William Waterhouse.
This colorway draws from the painting’s quiet intimacy and restrained emotion — softened rose tones, muted teal blues, gentle greens, and warm earthen hues layered with subtle depth. Color moves calmly along the braid, creating a palette that feels contemplative, romantic, and timeless.
Dyed in small batches, Soul of the Rose emphasizes nuance over contrast, allowing gentle shifts and tonal complexity to reveal themselves as the fiber is spun, felted, or woven. Each braid is a one-of-a-kind interpretation of stillness, longing, and quiet beauty.
