Tako is the Japanese word for octopus — a creature long associated with intelligence, adaptability, and mystery beneath the sea. Across nature, cuisine, folklore, and art, the octopus represents transformation, camouflage, and quiet power.
Inspired by bioluminescent marine life and shifting underwater landscapes, Tako is a luminous sea colorway built on movement and depth. Fluid sea-glass blues, kelp greens, and soft reef tones move across the skein, layered with shadow and glow to create a sense of motion and quiet power. The palette feels alive and adaptive, revealing new details as the fabric grows.
Under blacklight, select pigments ignite subtly, evoking the glow of plankton and deep-sea illumination rather than high-contrast neon. This is a glow that feels organic — discovered, not announced.
