Melt the Ice is a bold red tonal created as an act of resistance.

Inspired by the historic Norwegian lue hats worn during Nazi occupation — where red caps became a quiet but unmistakable symbol of defiance — this colorway draws a direct line between fiber, history, and protest. What began as a small act of resistance then has become a rallying cry now.

This colorway is Laughing Cat Fibers’ contribution to the Melt the Ice movement — a call to stand against cruelty, dehumanization, and systems built on fear. Art has always been a language of resistance. Fiber is no exception.

Dyed with intention in layered reds, this tonal carries depth, heat, and resolve — designed to be worn, seen, and felt.
