Orion Nebula — Hand-Dyed Wool Roving
Orion Nebula — Hand-Dyed Wool Roving
4 ounces of hand-dyed wool roving in Orion Nebula, inspired by deep-space imagery captured by NASA.
This colorway translates one of the most iconic stellar nurseries into fiber — luminous purples, cosmic blues, glowing pinks, and shadowed depth flowing dynamically along the braid. Color placement echoes drifting gas clouds and radiant star-forming regions, creating movement and contrast that reveal themselves as the fiber is spun, felted, or woven.
Dyed with UV-reactive pigments, Orion Nebula transforms under blacklight. Select colors ignite and intensify, producing a vivid glow that amplifies the sense of scale and energy found in deep space. Under normal light it is richly layered and atmospheric; under UV it becomes unmistakably electric.
Dyed in small batches, each braid is a one-of-a-kind expression of cosmic light translated into fiber.
