Inspired by a glamorous poster portrait of actress Martha Mansfield by illustrator Rolf Armstrong, this art-inspired colorway captures the luminous beauty and poignancy of a life frozen in time.

Deep emerald and mossy greens form the foundation of the skein, layered with glowing gold, warm amber, and touches of rust and shadow. The colors shift organically, creating movement and depth that echo the painterly softness of the original illustration while allowing flashes of warmth to surface through the green.

The Xyris tee is a beautiful showcase for Martha, giving the colorway two very different canvases in a single garment. Across the simple stockinette front, Martha’s vibrant greens, warm rust and gold, turquoise, and touches of red mingle freely, showing off the full movement of the variegated colorway.

Turn it around, and the dramatic lace back transforms those same colors completely. The open, graphic lace breaks up the color transitions and lets light move through the fabric, creating even more depth and texture.
