Lake Erie Algae Bloom | Nature Collection | UV Reactive

Inspired by summers spent along the shores of Lake Erie, Lake Erie Algae Bloom is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to warm water, neon warnings, and the unmistakable glow of an algae bloom at its peak.

Reformulated in 2022, this colorway has become one of Laughing Cat Fibers’ most popular — and for good reason. Acidic greens, chartreuse, and toxic yellow tones collide with shadowed undertones, creating a palette that feels electric, hazardous, and strangely beautiful.

In normal light, the colorway reads bold and high-energy. Under blacklight, hidden UV-reactive elements ignite, amplifying the “toxic bloom” effect and pushing the colorway fully into its intended absurd glory.
