Fall — Hand-Dyed Wool Roving
Fall — Hand-Dyed Wool Roving
4 ounces of hand-dyed wool roving in Fall, inspired by Autumn (Fall) by Giuseppe Arcimboldo.
This colorway draws from Arcimboldo’s playful yet intricate composition, translating layered harvest tones, organic texture, and visual abundance into fiber. Warm autumnal hues shift and mingle along the braid, evoking ripeness, contrast, and the quiet drama of seasonal change.
Dyed in small batches, color is applied to move with the fiber, allowing natural variation and depth to emerge as the roving is spun, felted, or woven. Each braid is a one-of-a-kind interpretation of the original artwork.
