Crab Nebula — Hand-Dyed Wool Roving
Crab Nebula — Hand-Dyed Wool Roving
4 ounces of hand-dyed wool roving in Crab Nebula, inspired by deep-space imagery captured by NASA.
This colorway translates the chaos and brilliance of a stellar explosion into fiber — electric blues, searing pinks, glowing greens, and shadowed cosmic depth moving dynamically along the braid. Color placement is designed to echo the turbulence and motion of nebular gas, creating contrast and energy that unfolds as the fiber is spun, felted, or woven.
Dyed with UV-reactive pigments, Crab Nebula transforms under blacklight. Select colors ignite and intensify, revealing a vivid glow that mirrors the charged luminosity of deep space. Under normal light it’s bold and complex; under UV it becomes unmistakably otherworldly.
Dyed in small batches, each braid is a one-of-a-kind expression of cosmic scale rendered in fiber.
