Inspired by The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo, this Banned Book colorway reflects the force of a voice that refuses to stay silent.

The novel’s intensity — its honesty, anger, vulnerability, and courage — is mirrored in a colorway built on contrast and depth. This is a single, layered colorway created through a warm, fiery base glaze that is then overdyed with black. The result is a skein rich with dimension, where flashes of heat emerge from beneath shadow.

As the fabric grows, that underlying warmth reveals itself stitch by stitch — much like the story itself.

The Poet X is a colorway for anyone who has ever been told to soften, quiet, or shrink themselves — and chose not to.
