All Boys Aren’t Blue — Hand-Dyed Wool Roving (4 oz)
Inspired by All Boys Aren’t Blue by George M. Johnson, this hand-dyed roving translates the heart of the first colorway in the Banned Books Yarn Club into fiber for spinners, felters, and fiber artists.
Johnson’s memoir speaks openly about identity, vulnerability, and lived experience — themes that have led the book to be frequently challenged, but also make it deeply important. This roving honors that honesty through color, movement, and intention.
Dyed in small batches, All Boys Aren’t Blue features layered, saturated blues with organic variation throughout the braid. The result is a fiber that feels expressive, fluid, and alive in the hand — ideal for spinning yarn with depth, felting statement pieces, or incorporating into mixed-media fiber work.
Each braid is custom curated and hand dyed by Laughing Cat Fibers to preserve softness, loft, and color clarity.
